Pecorino Romano Cheese from Italy. One of the most iconic cheeses of Italy. Its history begins in Roman times and the area where it first appeared was greater Rome. Today, the authentic Pecorino Romano, though paradoxical as it sounds, is mainly produced in Southern Italy, in Sardinia and Sicily. It is a rich, flavorful hard cheese made exclusively from sheep’s milk, with at least 6 months of natural aging. Perfectly pairs with Italian pasta recipes, especially Carbonara and the famous Roman Cacio e Pepe.
